Ray J’s Wife Princess Love Files For Divorce One Year After Reconciling

Ray J's wife, Princess Love, has filed for divorce from him after almost eight years of marriage. This would make it the fourth time Ray J and Love have attempted to get legally divorced.

As we reported, last year, the singer was granted a divorce dismissal after revealing on social media that he and Love had made plans to reconcile and work on their marriage. The duo have two kids together.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Ray J and Princess Love's marriage is on its way to being over...again.

On Monday, February 26, Love filed for divorce at the Chatsworth Courthouse in Los Angeles. This would make it the fourth time the couple has tried to end their marriage.

In 2023, the "Another Day in Paradise" singer was granted a divorce dismissal for the filing he made in 2021. At the time, the decision was made "without prejudice," which meant that both Ray J and Love could file for divorce again in the future, which the latter has now just done.

Before his divorce filing was dismissed last year, Ray J took to his Instagram page to announce that he and Love were working on reconciling.

"HAD TO GET MY WIFE BACK AND START FRESH," Ray J posted on Instagram on January 17 while giving a sneak peek at the hotel in Las Vegas he was staying in at the time. "I LOVE MY FAMILY!! I'll FIGHT OVER AND OVER FOR LIFE FOR MY FAMILY AND KIDS!! - I'll put it ALL ON THE LINE FOR MY CHILDREN TO BE HAPPY AND SAFE AND CLOSE TO ME 24/7."

The duo share two kids, daughter Melody Love, 4, and son Epik Ray, 3.

Princess Love Speaks Out On Her Divorce From Ray J

Shortly after filing for divorce, Love took to social media to break her silence on the shocking news by sharing what appears to be a joint statement from her and Ray J.

The statement read: "Dear Friends and Family, it is with heavy hearts that we share the news of our decision to divorce. "After much reflection, discussion, and counseling, we have come to the difficult realization that our paths have diverged and it is in the best interest of both of us to part ways."

It continued, "We want to reassure you that this decision was made thoughtfully and with mutual respect and consideration for each other's well-being. While our relationship as spouses may be coming to an end, we remain committed to co-parenting our children and maintaining a positive and supportive family dynamic."

The estranged couple took the opportunity to ask the public to respect their privacy during this difficult time in their lives.

Concluding the lengthy statement, they said: "Though this chapter of our lives may be closing, we look forward to embracing the opportunities for growth, healing, and new beginnings that lie ahead. We are confident that with time, understanding, and the support of our loved ones, we will navigate this transition with grace and resilience. Thank you for your understanding and support."
