WWE RAW will host the second night of the 2024 WWE Draft. The red brand has several popular names that could move to SmackDown and vice versa. Both Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis would be looking to sign the very best to their respective shows

WWE RAW is currently home to nearly 50 superstars. Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, former champion Becky Lynch, Drew McIntyre, and CM Punk are among the most popular names on the red brand.

Let’s take a look at five superstars who need to switch brands from RAW to SmackDown at the 2024 WWE Draft.

The New Day

The New Day is undoubtedly one of the most accomplished tag teams in WWE history. They have won tag team titles across RAW, SmackDown, and NXT. Plus, Kofi Kingston and Big E are both former world champions.

The New Day failed to earn a shot at the World Tag Team Championship on RAW last week. They are in a position where they can be used to elevate other tag teams. A move to SmackDown would simply make the most sense at the 2024 WWE Draft.

Sami Zayn needs to bring the IC title to SmackDown at 2024 WWE Draft

Sami Zayn made history at WrestleMania XL by ending Gunther’s Intercontinental Championship reign. Zayn retained his title against Chad Gable in his home country of Canada last Monday, only for the latter to turn heel following the loss.

Ideally, the angle would lead to Zayn versus Gable for the Intercontinental Title at Backlash with the champion narrowly avoiding a loss. I’d book Zayn to move to SmackDown with his title in exchange for United States Champion Logan Paul.

Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley had a great opener for the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 40 Night 2. The Man failed to dethrone Mami. Rhea, unfortunately, had to relinquish the title due to injury.

WWE will crown a new champion on RAW tonight in a battle royal. The participants include Becky Lynch, Nia Jax, and Liv Morgan among others. Most fans would love to see Becky win the title. However, I’d pick Liv Morgan as the winner.

Why? To build Liv Morgan as the perfect heel champion to a babyface Rhea when she returns because of their bitter history. Becky Lynch, in the meantime, gets drafted to SmackDown in exchange for Bianca Belair to kick off a program with Jade Cargill.

Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre was able to hold the World Heavyweight Champion for five minutes before it was snatched from him. The Scottish Warrior would fail to earn a shot at Damian Priest due to CM Punk’s involvement. This animosity needs a big PLE as its battleground.

Having said that, Drew could either wait for Punk to get healthy or he could move to SmackDown after the 2024 WWE Draft to challenge for the Undisputed WWE Championship. We know Cody Rhodes is coming to the blue brand because, well, he’s technically a member of the roster.

Both men have a lot of history. They were once tag team champions. McIntyre hasn’t forgotten that it was Cody who brought Jey Uso to RAW, someone he absolutely despises. Their history could forge a great storyline.

Cody Rhodes could be SmackDown’s first pick at 2024 WWE Draft

Cody Rhodes finished his story at WrestleMania 40. The American Nightmare defeated Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Championship. The match saw cameos from The Rock, John Cena, and even The Undertaker.

Cody teased his moved to SmackDown during a promo with Jey previously on RAW. Assuming Nick Aldis gets the first pick this week on SmackDown, he chooses Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, thus kicking off another chapter in the book of the American Nightmare.
