Baltimore Ravens center Tyler Linderbaum made his NFL debut during the team’s final preseason game of 2022 against the Washington Commanders. The first-round pick went down with a foot injury during training camp, and it wouldn’t of been surprising to see him sit out the final preseason game. However, the Ravens opted to use him in the game, and the rookie looked impressive in limited action.

Following the game, Linderbaum was asked about his frustrations with the injury and if he would be ready for the team’s Week 1 matchup with the New York Jets. Linderbaum expressed that injuries are a part of the game and that he expects to be 100 percent ready for the season opener.

“Obviously, it’s frustrating, but that’s a part of football; injuries are going to happen. I have no doubt that I’ll be a full, 100 percent come Week One. We have a great training staff and doctors here to get me ready. So, I’m looking forward to it.”

The former Iowa center started in 35 games in three seasons for his alma mater. Linderbaum was ranked by Pro Football Focus as the No. 1 interior offensive lineman entering the 2022 NFL Draft, and is slated to step in as Baltimore’s starting center.
