The best game of the weekend, at least on paper, was the San Francisco 49ers at Baltimore Ravens. The 49ers headed east with the best record in the NFC, and the Ravens were on a seven-game win streak that included a convincing victory over the AFC-leading New England Patriots.
Baltimore picked up its eighth straight win thanks to a last-second, 49-yard game-winning field goal from Justin Tucker. The final score was 20-17.

It was the 38th consecutive fourth-quarter made field goal for Tucker, who has the highest career field goal percentage in NFL history.
Both teams leaned on their strong defenses: the 49ers held the Ravens to just 3-of-10 on third-down conversions and 283 yards of offense, their second-lowest total of the season. Baltimore’s defense held the Niners to 4-of-12 on third down and Jimmy Garoppolo to only 165 passing yards.
The Ravens’ final possession was textbook: they took over at their own 35 with 6:28 to play after Garoppolo couldn’t connect with George Kittle on fourth-and-1. What followed was a 12-play, 34-yard possession that killed every last second of the clock.
Tucker came on with 3 seconds left, lined up and made the kick.
Lamar Jackson had 206 yards from scrimmage — 105 yards passing and 101 yards rushing; he had a passing TD and a running TD. The 22-year-old became just the second player in NFL history with 25 or more passing touchdowns and 750 rushing yards in the same season; Randall Cunningham was the first, with the Eagles in 1990.
The Ravens are now 10-2 and firmly in the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoff race and with a chance of taking the No. 1 seed if the Patriots falter against the Houston Texans.
