Ratings: ABC’s ‘Imaginary Mary’ Debut Lands 5.4 Million Real Viewers

ABC’s “Imaginary Mary” premiered to 5.4 million viewers last night, good enough for second place in its 8:30 p.m. time slot.

Fox topped Wednesday in the advertiser-sought 18-49 demographic with “Empire,” despite the show slipping double digits from last week’s spring return. CBS finished first in primetime averages among total viewers.

Fox was first in ratings with a 1.7 rating/7 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic, but third in total viewers with an average of 5.2 million, according to preliminary numbers. “Shots Fired” at 8 had a 1.0/4 and 3.7 million viewers. At 9, “Empire” got a 2.4/9 and 6.8 million viewers.

ABC was second in ratings with a 1.4 and in viewers with 5.5 million. “The Goldbergs” at 8 posted a 1.7/7 and 6 million viewers. “Mary” was next, with a 1.4/5 in the main demo. At 9, “Modern Family” earned a 2.0/8 and 6.7 million viewers. “Black-ish” at 9:30 received a 1.5/5 and 5 million viewers. “Designated Survivor” at 10 averaged a 1.1/4 and 5.1 million viewers.

CBS was third in ratings with a 1.3/5, but first in viewers with 6.7 million. “Survivor” at 8 put up a 1.7/7 and 8.1 million viewers. At 9, “Criminal Minds” had a 1.2/5 and 6.9 million viewers. Spinoff “Beyond Borders” at 10 received a 0.9/4 and 4.8 million viewers.

NBC was fourth in ratings with a 1.0 and in viewers with 5 million. “Blindspot” at 8 had a 0.9/4 and 4.3 million viewers. At 9, “Law & Order: SVU” got a 1.1/4 and 4.9 million viewers. “Chicago PD” at 10 received a 1.1/4 and 6 million viewers.

Univision and Telemundo tied for fifth in ratings, both with a 0.6/2. Univision was fifth in total viewers with 1.7 million, Telemundo was sixth with 1.5 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.4/2 and in viewers with 1.3 million. “Arrow” at 8 managed a 0.5/2 and 1.6 million viewers. At 9, “The 100” settled for a 0.3/1 and 969,000 viewers.
