Rashad Jennings' Emotional 'DWTS' Performance Garners Tears and a Near Perfect Score

NFL running back Rashad Jennings touched everyone's heart when he opened up about his relationship with his father on Dancing With the Stars. The former New York Giant said, "My dad was closed off when I was younger. His idea of love was to provide financially. He provided and faded away." While Jennings didn't have a close relationship with his father, he was very family oriented. When he learned that his father was going to have to have his leg amputated due to complications from a stroke and diabetes, he left his scholarship at a Division I school so that he could transfer to a smaller school Division II closer to his family. Jennings said the move taught him about unconditional love and that his relationship with his father is much stronger as a result. Jennings performance brought a standing ovation from the crow and tears from some of the judges. Julianne Hough said, "I have no words for what I'm feeling on the inside, it was so beautiful and your vulnerability is so beyond. It gives every man out there the courage to be their true ever and your relationship with your father is so beautiful." Jennings received the highest score of the season when he got 10's from all the judges except Len Goodman, who gave him a 9.
