Rachel "Raquel" Leviss and Tom Sandoval  are not on speaking terms after their affair.

The Vanderpump Rules alum left Sandoval in her past while undergoing mental health treatment, a source tells PEOPLE. “Rachel and Tom have not spoken in nearly three months. She checked out of the Meadows Trauma Therapy Center in July and has had zero contact with him since sometime in June,” says the insider.

It was Leviss’s decision to remove Tom's negative influence, the insider added.

“Rachel made the decision that it was healthiest to cut Tom out of her life completely and despite his attempts of writing and calling, she ceased communications with him while in the trauma therapy center,” they said.

"She spent months at the facility doing nothing but taking accountability for her actions and learning what drove her decisions in addition to giving multiple apologies. A large part of her mental health journey is leaving behind toxic people, especially those with questionable intentions towards her,” added the source, who noted that the TomTom bar owner seemingly "can’t keep [Rachel's] name out of his mouth."

Leviss, 29, and Sandoval, 41, ignited controversy among Bravo fans earlier this year when it was revealed he had been cheating on Ariana Madix, his girlfriend of nine years, with her costar.

Weeks after Madix, 38, abruptly ended the relationship, the cast gathered for a heated reunion where Leviss took intense heat from her castmates (and even had to keep 100 yards distance from former friend Scheana Shay due to a restraining order that was dismissed days after the filming).

Sandoval and Madix have since both returned to film season 11 of VPR — and they're both moonlighting as he is set to appear on the upcoming season of Special Forces: World's Toughest Test and she will compete on season 32 of Dancing with the Stars.

While speaking with PEOPLE at a press event for his new Fox show, Sandoval responded to Leviss blocked him on Instagram after he wished her a happy birthday on Monday. “Obviously, I think it's a little immature and petty," he said. “To post that you're blocking seems a bit thirsty.”
