Rapper Tech N9ne Shows He’s Not Dead, Sends Prayers to Late Battle Rapper Tech 9
Rapper Tech N9ne was paying respects to a battle rapper with a similar name to his own after the reported news of the man’s passing sent shockwaves through the hip hop community.
The “Caribou Lou” rapper posted a video Monday morning, giving “Condolences to the battle rapper, Tech 9” and said he had been following the Philly-area performer’s career as a pioneer of battle rap.
It’s unclear how Tech 9 died, but after news of his passing broke, many fans thought the 49-year-old Tech N9ne was gone. After paying his respects to the battle rapper, N9ne said he was returning to the U.S. from Europe when family began calling his phone wondering if he was okay.
“I’m okay,” N9ne assured, but is obviously feeling the loss of the legendary battle rapper from Philadelphia.
