Rapper Riff Raff Cleared Of Sexual Assault Claim, Lawsuit Against Him Dropped

Rapper RiFF RAFF has just been cleared of a sexual assault claim made against him stemming from a 2014 incident, after we've learned the lawsuit filed against him has been dropped.

A representative for the rapper tells The Blast, "Recording artist Riff Raff also known as Dale Dan Tony and Jody Highroller has had all claims in a civil sexual assault case from 2014 dropped with prejudice. RIFF RAFF has consistently denied that there was ever any contact, sexual or otherwise between himself and Plaintiff and claimed that the forensic evidence or lack thereof and other eyewitness testimony would categorically confirm his account."

Rapper Never Charged With A Crime Stemming From The Incident

According to his team, RiFF RAFF wants to make it clear he was never charged with a crime connected to these allegations.

"RiFF RAFF had never been arrested or charged with any such offense by the police. The Plaintiff’s civil suit has now been dropped with prejudice. Having this dark cloud, which has hung over him for the last 5 years, dissipate, RiFF RAFF is ready to take his career to the next level and cement his name as one of the most exciting and innovative entertainers of modern times," the rep said.

They continued, "Having this episode placed firm behind him, RiFF RAFF now can redress the imbalance and set the record straight in that there are no lawsuits, or claims, regarding any sexual assault or sexual misconduct against the entertainer."

Facing Lawsuit For $12 Million

RiFF RAFF was due to stand trial in the sexual assault case which stemmed from a 2014 incident at a Nevada brothel. A woman identified as Jane Doe filed a lawsuit against the rapper (real name: Horst Christian Simco) accusing him of sexual assault, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, false imprisonment, and civil conspiracy. The woman sued for $12 Million, asking to cover medical expenses, lost wages, physical, emotional, and psychological trauma.

The incident took place in 2014, and at the time RR was at the height of his popularity. One week earlier, he made huge headlines for attending the MTV Video Music Awards with Katie Perry.
