Rich the Kid was arrested early on Monday morning in Miami.

PEOPLE has confirmed that the rapper (whose real name is Dimitri Roger), 31, was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida for allegedly resisting an officer without violence and for trespassing on property after receiving a warning.

According to a Miami-Dade Police Department arrest report, multiple officers were on the scene due to a bomb threat where a perimeter was taped off and Roger "approached the tape and stated he needed to get to his hotel."

An officer then advised him not to cross the tape because of an ongoing investigation and doing so would result in his arrest.

Roger reportedly told the police, "I'll bond out in 20 minutes," and walked away.

The affidavit claims that the "Plug Walk" musician went under police tape while he was told he couldn't do so, walking away from officers and then "went to the rear of the property" where security staff also said he couldn't be there.

Roger then allegedly told security to "stop him" and "jumped the fence onto the property," where he entered the hotel building during a K-9 unit sweep.

The police claim the artist was ordered to leave, but he continued to "linger."

He was then taken into custody without incident and transported to the Miami Beach Police Department for processing.

Back in February 2019, the "New Freezer" performer was robbed and shot at while outside a recording studio in West Hollywood, California, as Usher worked on music at a separate session inside.

At the time, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office in West Hollywood told PEOPLE that an assault took place outside of a recording studio, but did not name Rich the Kid.

Following the incident, Roger was seen speaking to police, and TMZ confirmed he was targeted.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office later shared a statement confirming the robbery “occurred on the 7200 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, at approximately 3:13 p.m. today.”

In a press release, the Sheriff’s Office said when sheriffs arrived on the scene “they found three male black assault victims.”

“The victims stated, three black male suspects, confronted them in the alley behind a business and demanded their money and jewelry. The victims were then physically assaulted by the suspects.”

“All the suspects got into a vehicle and drove away, westbound from the location. As the suspects drove away, a shooting occurred by an unknown male suspect. The shooting suspect has not been located or identified,” the press release stated.

An eyewitness claimed as many as 10 gunshots were fired after an altercation outside the Westlake Recording Studio, TMZ reported.

Westlake Recording Studio declined to comment when contacted by PEOPLE.

A member of Rich the Kid’s entourage was reportedly badly struck with a pistol, TMZ reported.
