California-based rapper Polo G was arrested for weapons possession after cops found a gun in his lower Manhattan hotel room, police said Thursday.

The 25-year-old “Pop Out” rapper, whose given name is Taurus Bartlett, was staying at the Dominick Hotel on Spring St. in lower Manhattan on Wednesday when a maid cleaning his room found the pistol.

The hotel called police, who charged Polo G, with weapons possession. He posted a $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond following an arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court, records show.

Originally from Chicago, Polo G spent time in that city’s jails for selling drugs before he began putting out raps and music videos online. His music quickly caught fire and he scored a record contract while still in his teens.

He’s known for his 2019 hit “Finer Things” from his debut album which cracked the Top 10 on the Billboard 100. His fourth studio album came out last year.

He is best known for his song with Bronx rapper Lil Tjay, “Pop Out”, which has amassed over 80 million views on YouTube and peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. He has over 11 million followers on Instagram.

Before Wednesday, he was arrested twice in Los Angeles in one day last August, officials said.

LAPD cops arresting Polo G’s younger brother, who is also a rapper who goes by the name Trench Baby, for robbery ended up arresting Polo G when they found a short barreled rifle they found in the home they shared.

The brothers were then rearrested by the Burbank Police Department, who charged them with kidnapping, robbery and assault for an incident in April. He was arrested from a Burbank jail after paying $10,000 bail, officials said.

In November, Trench Baby, whose given name is Taurean Bartlett, was arrested on murder charges for participating in a fatal drive-by shooting in North Hollywood, officials said.
