With a new season of Say Yes to the Dress underway, fan are undoubtedly thrilled to see Randy Fenoli back in action and helping brides find the gowns of their dreams. But while tuning in, you may find yourself wondering why everyone's favorite bridal consultant took so many of his appointments over the computer this season instead of in person at Kleinfeld Bridal in New York City.

As Randy explained in a clip from the show, he had been doing his consulting work from home (in his design room, natch!). "Our daily routine now [is] logging into meetings and doing appointments virtually," Randy shared while sitting down in front of his computer. "It's a Say Yes shoot day, the first thing I do is check in with my crew."

Responding to an inquiring fan on Twitter about his choice to call into his appointments, Randy clarified that he had not been coming to Kleinfeld's in person "because of COVID restrictions I couldn’t fly to NYC, was renovating my home, and taking care of my Mom." It's unclear when the latest season of Say Yes to the Dress was filmed.

That said, Randy's social media posts tell us that he has since returned to Kleinfeld. This may mean that for some upcoming appointments we see on the show, Randy will, in fact, be interacting with the brides and their families in person.

For in-person appointments at Kleinfeld, Randy once told Good Housekeeping that one session with a bride can take a full eight to 10 hours of filming when factoring in pre- and post-appointment interviews.

"It’s twice as long as a regular appointment time and it’s just because before [the bride] can walk out, all the cameras need to get in place, so we get all the angles and everything," he explained.

Perhaps virtually the process is a bit faster! But even if it isn't, we're sure Randy is still thrilled to do what he does best in any way he can.
