Rami Kashou enters “Project Runway’s” top four as the most experienced competitor remaining on the show. He originally competed way back during the show’s fourth season — the same season that made current “Runway” mentor Christian Siriano a fashion superstar. Kashou was the runner-up back then. Then he competed on “Project Runway All-Stars” when that was its own spinoff show; he finished eighth there. So how did he do in season 20 when he and 13 other All-Star contestants returned for yet another chance at the title? Kashou got off to a rough start in season 20. Over the first five challenges he got two low scores from the judges and three safe scores, but no high scores. He finally impressed the panelists by highlighting high-end undergarments in “Fashion, Inside Out,” but then the very next week in “Uncut Hems” he was knocked out of the competition for a denim look the judges thought had too many conflicting ideas. Luckily for Kashou, his friend and former co-competitor Siriano was there to save him, a decision the vast majority of fans agreed with. And he has made the most of that rescue, getting high marks from the judges in every challenge since, finally prevailing for the first time in “Let Me See Your Peacock!
