Rajshri Deshpande, Star Of Netflix India’s ‘Trial By Fire’, Signs With Crimson Media

EXCLUSIVE: Bollywood star Rajshri Deshpande, who starred in Netflix India’s limited crime drama series Trial By Fire, has signed for world representation.

She has inked in all areas worldwide with boutique management firm Crimson Media, The SB Initiative and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman Smelkinson & Christopher.

Deshpande won several leading actress awards for her role in the Hindi-language drama Trial By Fire, including at The Asian Academy Creative Awards, Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, Filmfare OTT Awards, and IWM Digital Awards, which recognizes the best in Indian streaming and digital shows.

The show is based on the novel ‘Trial by Fire: The Tragic Tale of the Uphaar Fire Tragedy’ from Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy.

Deshpande played the role of co-author Neelam Krishnamoorthy, a mother who tragically loses her two children in the Uphaar Cinema fire in 1997, fights for justice for several years after and eventually wins a groundbreaking wrongful death suit.

Deshpande has also appeared in Malayalam-language indie horror film Sexy Durga; Netflix’s first Indian-language series Sacred Games, directed by Anurag Kashyap, Vikram Motwane and Neeraj Ghaywan; and the Netflix India series The Fame Game from 2022.

She also received acclaim for her performance in 2015 comedy-drama Angry Indian Goddesses.
