There’s a war of words going down between Rachel Leviss and Ariana Madix’s legal teams. After Rachel sued Ariana for distributing revenge porn in the aftermath of Scandoval, Ariana’s legal team hit back and called it an “abuse of the legal process”. They’re trying to get the case tossed out.

In response to Ariana’s motion, Rachel’s lawyers released a statement to Radar Online. They’re being extra shady. According to them, Ariana’s court filing was “laughable,” and they’re feeling confident that they have a strong case against the Vanderpump Rules star.

A clapback from Rachel’s legal team

As a reminder, Rachel’s lawsuit accused Ariana of revenge porn, eavesdropping, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and invasion of privacy. Ariana denied distributing revenge porn after stumbling upon an intimate video of Rachel on Tom Sandoval’s phone. Her lawyers have labeled this whole thing as a scheme for Rachel to punish Ariana for the Scandoval backlash. Obviously, Rachel’s lawyers don’t agree with that stance.

Rachel’s lawyers said, “The only thing more laughable than Ariana’s motion is her fairytale account of how she discovered the relationship from Tom’s phone.”

According to Ariana, the only person she distributed the videos to was Rachel. She admitted to taking a video on her phone of the X-rated clip and sending it to Rachel with a message saying, “You’re dead to me.” Shortly after, Ariana claimed that Tom snatched her phone and deleted the videos. That would have made it impossible for her to distribute them. Rachel’s lawyers believe otherwise.

They stated, “Meanwhile, we look forward to cross-examining her on her declaration, as we have irrefutable evidence that the videos were distributed.”

Ariana’s motion to dismiss Rachel’s lawsuit is up in the air. There’s a hearing scheduled on June 11, so stay tuned for updates. In the meantime, Rachel is giving her side of the story on her podcast, where she admitted to feeling guilty for even involving Ariana in this case.

Vanderpump Rules airs on Bravo, Tuesday nights at 8/7c.
