A low-key romance. Rachel Brosnahan and Jason Ralph met on the set of an indie film in 2013, and their relationship has been thriving ever since.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel actress and the Magicians alum first crossed paths while filming I’m Obsessed with You (But You’ve Got to Leave Me Alone), which premiered in 2014. Brosnahan was intrigued by her costar, but she refused to date him until after filming was over. “It was a hard no for me," she explained to Town & Country in September 2022. “Stay away, stay away. OK, fine.”

The duo began stepping out in public together in 2015, attending theater productions in their hometown of New York City. In September of that year, they walked the red carpet at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, where Brosnahan was nominated for her work as a guest actress on Netflix's House of Cards.

The pair also reunited on camera in 2015, appearing in the short-lived WGN series Manhattan, which followed the fictionalized lives of scientists who worked on the development of the first atomic bomb. Their professional collaboration was soon put on hold, however, as they both landed leading roles in their own shows. Ralph began playing Quentin Coldwater on Syfy's The Magicians in 2015, while Brosnahan debuted on Amazon Prime's The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel in 2017.

While the twosome continued to keep many details of their personal lives under wraps, they supported each other at various professional engagements, with Ralph joining his partner at the 2018 Golden Globes when she took home the trophy for Best Television Actress in a Musical/Comedy Series.

One year later, the Olive Kitteridge alum revealed that she and Ralph had secretly tied the knot. "We’ve been married for years and been together for even longer," she explained to People in January 2019. "We had a good laugh when the news came out that we had just got married, like, ‘Happy six-month anniversary, honey!’”

That same month, Brosnahan gave her spouse a sweet shout-out while accepting another Golden Globe for her work in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. "Jason, I love you," she told the Aquarius alum, who was sitting in the audience. "I wouldn't be here at all without you. Thank you."

In 2022, the couple finally reunited onscreen for a handful of Mrs. Maisel episodes where Ralph played the character Mike Carr. The following year, the Texas native reprised the role during the dramedy's fifth and final season.

Despite their long relationship, Brosnahan said she was actually nervous to work with her husband again after so many years of doing their own things, career-wise. "I was so intimidated because we haven't worked together since we met, 10 years ago I guess now," she told Entertainment Tonight in April 2023. "So, I was really nervous for him to actually see me doing this up close and come into my world, but it was amazing."
