R. Kelly's girlfriends deny being 'evicted' from his Trump Tower condo: 'That's fake news'

R. Kelly's live-in girlfriends, Joycelyn Savage and Azriel Clary, spoke out in a video sent to TMZ, dispelling rumors they were evicted from his Trump Tower Chicago home, calling it "fake news" while turning the camera to show the view from the high-rise condo.

Gerald Griggs, the Atlanta lawyer for Savage's parents, from whom she is estranged, confirmed it's Savage, 23, and Clary, 21, in the video clip.

"We read a story that we were evicted from the Trump and under emergency living, and we just want you guys to know that isn’t true," said Clary in the video, turning the camera to show the view of Chicago from the expansive windows in the condo.

"We’re at the Trump, we've been here for years, we move freely, we come and go freely, we actually just stepped out this morning and no one said anything, no one stopped us, no one harassed us," Clary continued. "So we just want to clear that up, it's 'fake news,' do not believe everything that you hear."

She went on to effusively thank Kelly's fans who have publicly supported him since his legal woes deepened last week with his indictments and arrests on federal sex-crime charges in Illinois and in New York. "Thanks for everything you guys are doing to help him," Clary said.

The "eviction" claim was first made by The Blast and further promoted by The Daily Mail.

Kelly's lawyer Steve Greenberg explained there was a search warrant executed on the star's condo when he was arrested and the women temporarily left the premises.

"The girls are back in their home which is the condo," he told USA TODAY.

Griggs said, Joycelyn's parents, Tim and Jonjelyn Savage, still have not been "reunited" with their daughter, two years after she cut them off because of their opposition to her relationship with Kelly.

“The Savage family is currently in third party communication with Joycelyn Savage and would be open to speaking directly to her or a personal representative," Griggs told USA TODAY. "They have always wanted direct and consistent contact with their beloved daughter.”

Savage's parents believe she is among Kelly's "sex slaves" and is being held against her will. She and Clary have repeatedly denied that, including most recently in an appearance on CBS News.

On Friday in Atlanta, Tim Savage got into an intense back-and-forth with a Kelly publicist who was meeting with reporters to discuss the latest developments in the sprawling criminal investigations of Kelly by state and federal authorities in at least two states.

Meanwhile, Kelly himself is being held in a federal detention facility in Chicago, after being arrested Thursday night in Chicago on federal child porn and other sex-crime charges, and after a second separate indictment was unsealed Friday in New York on sex-trafficking and other sex-crimes.

Kelly is due to appear in court Tuesday in Chicago for a hearing to discuss bail and arraignment arrangements for the separate indictments. Kelly has been ordered to appear for it, according to Joseph Fitzpatrick, spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's office in the Northern District of Illinois in Chicago.

In addition, Kelly is also facing multiple sex-crime charges in state court in Chicago, with the next hearing date for that scheduled for August.
