R. Kelly Set To Face Off With Alleged Sexual Assault Victim in Court
R. Kelly will soon have to face his alleged sexual assault victim, as a judge is moving the woman’s lawsuit forward.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, a New York judge has scheduled a hearing for November 21.
The case was brought by a woman named Faith Rodgers, who accuses Kelly of putting her through a year of abuse. She also claims he infected her with Herpes.
The case has been at a standstill after Kelly was arrested. He is still behind bars after being denied bond multiple times.

Last year, 20-year-old Rodgers sued Kelly accusing him of mental and sexual abuse during a year-long relationship, which ended with him allegedly infecting her with Herpes.
Rodgers said she met the singer after a Texas concert in March 2017, and eventually the two started dating. She accused him of recording her without consent submitting to deviant and compromising sexual contact, accused him of engaging in forceful sexual contact that was initiated without consent or despite her objections, often locked her in rooms, studios and cars to punish her and had his assistant stand watch while she was confined.
She sued seeking unspecified damages for sexual battery, false imprisonment and for not telling her about his alleged STD.
Kelly filed a bizarre response to the lawsuit. Kelly wrote a letter to Rodger’s lawyer stating, “Please advise Ms. Rodgers, your client to abandon this heartless effort to try to destroy my musical legacy for selfish, personal enrichment. If she persists in court action she will be subjected to public opinion during the discovery process. For example, my law team is prepared to request the production of the medical test results proving the origin of her STD claim, as well as 10 personal male witnesses testifying under oath about her sex life in support of her claim and complete records of her text/face time message exchanges, which will be reviewed to match and be authenticated by the recipient to insure there are no omissions or deletions.”
He said if Rogers “really cares about her own reputation she should cease participation and association with the organizers of this negative campaign.” Kelly threatened, “counter actions are in the development stages and due to be released soon.”
Rogers appeared on Lifetime’s doc-series ‘Surviving R. Kelly’ detailing the harrowing abuse she suffered.
