R. Kelly Girlfriends Continue Living Lavishly Amid Allegations Singer Hid Money

R. Kelly’s two girlfriends continue living the high life, following allegations the singer hid hundreds of thousands in a friend’s bank account.

In a Chicago Sun-Times report, Kelly’s lawyer, Steve Greenberg, revealed 21-year-old Azriel Clary and 23-year-old Joycelyn Savage will remain living in Trump Tower Chicago.

The lawyer previously claimed the rent was paid until September. He said the girlfriends planned to move out then.

However, Greenberg now claims Clary and Savage have “decided to keep their living arrangement at Trump Tower.” His lawyer claims Kelly is making enough money to continue paying for the apartment.

The Trump Tower apartment is pricey, especially for someone who has claimed poverty in court and been unable to pay his bond previously.

The situation is interesting given prosecutors recently accusing Kelly of hiding hundreds of thousands.

They believe the singer redirected his music royalty payments to a childhood friend’s bank account.

The prosecutors said in court, “the defendant’s contention that he has “almost no financial resources” is also misleading.”

They continued, “In fact, the defendant continues to receive hundreds of thousands of dollars in connection with royalties he is owed for his music. The government’s investigation has revealed that earlier this year, the defendant re-directed those royalties to the bank account of a childhood friend. Regardless of where those funds are being held, however, they belong to the defendant and, at any time, the defendant can redirect those funds - and future royalty proceeds earned - to an account in his name.”

Prosecutors used this information in court to shut down Kelly’s attempt to be released from jail. Kelly argued for release and used his two girlfriends in his argument.

He complained the jail only allowed him to see one of his girlfriends at a time.

At a hearing, the judge sided with prosecutors and denied his release.
