R. Kelly cult accuser alleges abuse and underage sex

One of the women claiming she was held against her will by singer R. Kelly detailed her experience on The Real. In her first televised appearance, Jerhonda Pace detailed her initial encounter with Kelly and another woman when she still was a minor.

In July, Buzzfeed reported that Kelly runs an alleged sex cult in which he controls every aspect of multiple women’s lives. The article alleges physical and mental abuse at his hands.

Pace said while tearing up, “It was very frightening. He would slap you in your face and he would physically harm you. And he would put you in a room and lock you in a room for days.” She also claimed she escaped the singer’s house by lying to him that she was briefly walking to her uncle’s house.

In a statement from July, Kelly’s representative said, “Mr. Kelly unequivocally denies such allegations and will work diligently and forcibly to pursue his accusers and clear his name.”
