Usher performs onstage during iHeartRadio Q102's Jingle Ball 2023 at Wells Fargo Center on December 12, 2023 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
On Feb. 11, Usher will take over Las Vegas once again to perform for the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show. And while we know he could very well perform the entire 13-minute set by himself, he’s teased that R&B will take centerstage and that he’d be bringing out folks who represent the genre in it’s truest sense.
So, it’s in that vein, that we thought we’d make a list of folks we think might be fun additions to his already iconic set.

Saturday Night Live recap: Jacob Elordi's 2024 kickoff is less burn, more simmer
I don’t know about y’all but I know about this: we need to see Alicia and Usher together again to do “My Boo,” and that’s just not up for debate.
Beyonce
Beyoncé performs onstage during the “RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR” at PGE Narodowy on June 27, 2023 in Warsaw, Poland.
It’s a crying shame we’ve only gotten one collab from Bey and Usher over the years. How iconic would it be for us to finally see them reunited on one of the biggest stages?!
Jazmine Sullivan
Jazmine Sullivan attends the 65th GRAMMY Awards on February 05, 2023 in Los Angeles, California.
If you were blessed enough to see Jazmine and Usher perform at the Roots Picnic in 2023, then you already know what kind of musical magic they can make.
Tank
Tank performs in concert at State Farm Arena on March 30, 2023 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Usher may be the King of R&B, but Tank is the genre’s love child. Plus, Usher said he wants the performance to feel like he’s singing directly to the women. Who better to help whisper sweet nothings than Mr. “Sex, Love, Pain?”
Mary J. Blige
Mary J. Blige attends the 2023 CFDA Fashion Awards at American Museum of Natural History on November 06, 2023 in New York City.
Mary J. Blige is a great performer (with stellar dance moves btw) and one of R&B’s most beloved pillars.
Ella Mai
Ella Mai performs during the Sol Blume Music festival at Discovery Park on August 19, 2023 in Sacramento, California.
Some folks may be sleeping on some of Ella Mai’s bops, but because I’m a huge fan of “Don’t Waste My Time”—which features her and Usher, we’ve got to give Ella a chance to shine.
Summer Walker
Summer Walker attends the 15th Annual ASCAP Women Behind The Music at Atrium on November 16, 2023 in Atlanta, Georgia.
I’ve been bumping “Good Good” and the “Come Thru” Remix for a good reason. If we’re gonna center R&B, who better than Summer Walker?
Lucky Daye
Lucky Daye attends Strength of a Woman’s ‘Purpose Ball: Bridging the Gap’ in Partnership with Mary J. Blige, Pepsi, and Live Nation Urban on May 13, 2023 in Atlanta, Georgia.
For the way Lucky Daye slide on “Guess”—which samples Usher’s “You Don’t Have to Call” by the way—he deserves a cameo alongside him.
Ari Lennox
Ari Lennox attends Missy’s Supa Dupa Fly Sneaker Ball Birthday Celebration on July 02, 2023 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
My favorite “Shea Butter Baby”?? This one is a no brainer.
Victoria Monet
Victoria Monét attends The Hollywood Reporter’s Women In Entertainment 2023 at The Beverly Hills Hotel on December 07, 2023 in Los Angeles, California.
Who is having a bigger moment than Victoria right now? If her song “On My Mama” and choreography isn’t proof she’s ready for the big stage—I don’t know what is!
Chloe
Chloe Bailey at the GQ Men of the Year Party 2023 at Bar Marmont on November 16, 2023 in Los Angeles, California.
If you want somebody whose gonna match Usher’s energy—look no further than Chloe Bailey. From vocal range to dance moves, she’s more than ready.
Teyana Taylor
Teyana Taylor attends the National Board Of Review 2024 Awards Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street on January 11, 2024 in New York City.
It’s beyond clear that Teyana Taylor can creatively direct the hell out of anything and her musical talent speaks for itself. Her and Usher together would definitely bring some major heat.
T-Pain
T-Pain performs at JuicyFest at North Harbour Stadium on January 06, 2024 in Auckland, New Zealand.
I know this might be an unorthodox pick considering the slight kerfuffle they had years ago, but T-Pain’s contributions to R&B can’t go unnoticed. I think it would be an underrated addition.
Honorable Mention: Lil Jon and Ludacris
Lil Jon and Ludacris pose backstage during Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest / EA SPORTS BOWL at State Farm Arena on January 31, 2019 in Atlanta, Georgia.
OK, I know, they aren’t R&B acts but if Usher doesn’t bring out Luda and Lil Jon to do “Yeah,”—I might riot in the streets.
Honorable Mention: Plies
Rapper Plies attends a Party at Compound on July 21, 2019 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Four words: “Daddy’s Home.” The remix. Personally, I think he should open with this one but that’s just me!
