R&B star Ginuwine will come to Evansville's Victory Theatre

EVANSVILLE – Renowned R&B star Ginuwine will come to Evansville for a show at the Victory Theatre, officials announced Tuesday.

The "Pony" and "In Those Jeans" multi-platinum singer will play on Nov. 23. Tickets go on sale Friday.

Starting as a member of the collective Swing Mob alongside artists such as Missy Elliott and the producer Timbaland, Ginuwine broke out with "Pony," which reached No. 6 on the Billboard charts and helped his debut album "Ginuwine ... The Bachelor" sell more than 2 million copies.

The video for the song has been viewed more than 190 million times on YouTube. He's gone on to sell more than 6 million albums in his career, and toured with artists such as Janet Jackson and NSYNC.

He's also worked as an actor. His most high-profile role was playing himself/Donna Meagle's cousin in the Indiana-centric sitcom "Parks & Recreation."
