After appearing in Columbus several times as an opening act, singer-rapper Rod Wave is coming to Nationwide Arena as a headliner on Oct. 30.

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Thursday at ticketmaster.com.

The 25-year-old Wave, born Rodarius Green, made a name for himself when his 2019 single, "Heart on Ice," went viral on YouTube and reached No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100. His album "Ghetto Gospel," also released in 2019, peaked at number 10 on the US Billboard 200.

Wave, known for his strong singing voice and penchant for blending R&B and hip-hop, has since enjoyed a string of successful releases, including the albums "SoulFly" and "Beautiful Mind," both of which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts. Hit singles include the platinum-certified "By Your Side" and "Cold December," which samples Hank Williams Jr.'s "O.D.'d in Denver."

Wave's next album, "Nostalgia" — also the name of his upcoming tour — is due to be released in the fall. He will be supported on the tour by R&B singers Ari Lennox and EElmatic, R&B/hip-hop artist Toosii, and rapper G Herbo.
