R&B singer Jacquees was arrested for allegedly biting a woman at a bar near the Mall of Georgia.

The 29-year-old singer and songwriter, whose full name is Rodriguez Jacquees Broadnax, is charged with simple battery and willful obstruction of law enforcement officers, according to Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office jail records.

Broadnax, who lives in Braselton, Georgia, about 43 miles northeast of Atlanta, was booked into the county jail just before 1:30 a.m. Friday.

Jacquees' arrest came the same day he released a song about domestic violence.

He posted about the track, 'Woman's Worth," on his Instagram page.

"Nearly 1 in 4 women will experience domestic abuse by an intimate partner during their lifetime. It’s not always easy for the victim to leave their abuser for a number of reasons - they love them, they fear them, they have kids with them, a belief they can change them or they simply feel they have no where else to go. If you suspect or know of anyone who is a victim of domestic abuse, please try and help. - I love y'all JACQUEES," he wrote.

Fighting with security

According to an arrest warrant obtained by USA TODAY, police were called to the Local Tap near the mall late Thursday night where, witnesses told officers the singer appeared intoxicated, was being "loud and boisterous," was arguing with security and had choked a female employee and bit her in the hand.

The woman reportedly suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Officers found Broadnax in a nearby parking lot where, the outlets reported, "he refused to cooperate and tried to run," but an officer fired a stun gun at him.

Jail records show he was arrested and released on a $3,700 bond mid-Friday morning.

A history of legal woes

The incident wasn't the first time the singer has faced legal issues.

In 2018, Atlanta police arrested the Georgia native on charges including speeding and possession of a controlled substances after officers said they clocked him driving 116 mph and watched him toss a joint out of his Bentley.

That same month, authorities detained and cited Jacquees for disorderly conduct at Milwaukee's General Mitchell International Airport. And in March that same year, police arrested Jacquees on Miami Beach for failure to obey an officer and disorderly conduct.

An apparent bruised eyed

On Saturday, the singer posted a photo showing what appeared to be a bruised eye, behind sunglasses on his Instagram account.

"It's all love wit me...always," he posted.

Jacquees is known for hits such as "B.E.D." and "At the Club," and hails from Decatur, Ga. In 2018, he was included on "Slime Language," an album of collaborations with artists including Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Baby and Gunna.
