The mini docuseries "Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV" is set to be released this weekend, and new information about the series has come out.

It was recently learned that Drake Bell would talk about his past trauma in the new documentary, but exactly how far into detail he would go wasn't clear. According to USA Today, the third episode of the series will feature Bell specifically addressing the 'extensive' abuse that happened to him while he was working on "The Amanda Show."

Here is what to know about Drake Bell and his claims in "Quiet on Set."

What is the 'Quiet on Set' documentary about?

The documentary is described by IMDB, an online database of information on films and shows, as a series that "uncovers the toxic culture behind some of the most iconic children's shows of the late 1990s and early 2000s."

It is a four part documentary series that delves into the toxicity of some of Nickelodeon's most famous shows. Many of these shows were what brought Nickelodeon into its golden era, but there was evidently something darker going on behind the scenes as the documentary trailer hints.

According to USA TODAY, Bell, 37, details the assault as a Nickelodeon child star in the third episode of the series.

Brian Peck was a dialogue coach on "The Amanda Show" where Bell was working as an actor at 15 years old. It was during this time that Peck began sexually assault him, according to Bell.

In 2003, Peck was arrested on a charge of lewd acts with a child, and in 2004 he was convicted. It was not until 2024, that Drake Bell came forward to claim he was the victim of Peck in that case.

"The abuse was extensive, and it got pretty brutal." Bell says in the documentary. "I really don't know how to elaborate on that on camera. Why don't you do this: Why don't you think of the worst stuff that someone could do to somebody as a sexual assault, and that will answer your question. It was not a one-time thing."

In the documentary, Bell's father, Joe Bell, claims he was concerned about Peck hanging around his son and alleges he informed producers but instead was accused of being homophobic.

Bell would go on to act in Nickelodeon's "Drake & Josh" from 2004 to 2007 and several Nickelodeon movies after that.

Nickelodeon's response to Drake Bell's allegations

In a statement to USA TODAY, Nickelodeon said, "Now that Drake Bell has disclosed his identity as the plaintiff in the 2004 case, we are dismayed and saddened to learn of the trauma he has endured, and we commend and support the strength required to come forward."
