Emily in Paris, the Netflix hit everyone hates to admit they love, has set its Season Four return. The show will premiere in two parts, with the first batch of episodes arriving on Aug. 15, and the second dropping on Sept. 12.

Accompanying the season premiere dates is a short teaser in which the Emily in Paris cast do their best to describe the upcoming season in just a few words. Emily herself, Lily Collins, chose “vulnerable” and “adventurous,” while other descriptors ranged from “heartbreaking” and “amour” to “messy,” “chaotic,” and “holy,” “fucking,” and “shit” (those last three all from Lucas Bravo, who plays Gabriel).

Bruno Gouery notably teased the show’s likely adventure to Italy when he settled on “belezza,” the Italian word for “beauty.” And leave it to Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, who plays Sylvie, to give the most cold-blooded answer: “Revenge.”

Season Four of Emily in Paris will arrive nearly two years after Season Three, which premiered all the way back in Dec. 2022. Production on the new season was delayed last year by the Writers Guild of America and Screen Actors’ Guild strikes, but it was finally able to begin earlier this year in January.

Earlier this week, Collins dropped some hints about the Italian adventure in the new season on social media, sharing an array of photos of the Colosseum in Rome on Instagram, and joking, “Thinking about the Roman Empire…” Before that, she shared some pictures of her and co-star Ashley Park captioned, When you’re the first ones on the dance floor at the Paris wrap party. Next stop: Rome!”

Show creator Darren Star offered a bit more info in a statement, saying, “Emily finds herself with a busy travel schedule in Season Four of Emily in Paris. From the French Alps to the piazzas of Rome, viewers will vicariously experience amazing new locations through Emily’s eyes. Expect new characters, a lot more drama, romance, and a whole new language to try and master.”
