Queen of Tears just concluded its first season and viewers who liked the show are asking whether a second season is on its way. Queen of Tears is a South Korean drama comedy series created by Park Ji-eun. The story follows the marital crisis and eventual love rekindling between the chaebol heiress of Queens Group and the son of farmers from Yongdu-ri.

Is there a Queen of Tears Season 2 release date?
There is no Queen of Tears Season 2 release date as it is unlikely to happen.
Most Korean dramas typically only have one season, wherein they tell the show’s entire story from start to finish. This is akin to the miniseries format followed by other networks in nations like the United States. As such, it is pretty rare or non-existent for Korean shows to have more seasons, let alone a second season. Thus, considering this factor, a sophomore season of Queen of Tears is unlikely to happen.
However, thanks to the global popularity of the newly released K-drama, Queen of Tears will reportedly air two special episodes on May 4 and May 5, 2024. These two specials will supposedly serve as the epilogue to the series.
The show’s cast includes Kim Soo-hyun as Baek Hyun-woo, Kim Ji-won as Hong Hae-in, Park Sung-hoon as Yoon Eun-sung, and Kwak Dong-yeon as Hong Soo-cheol. The other cast members are Lee Ju-bin as Cheon Da-hye, Kim Kap-soo as Hong Man-dae, Na Young-hee as Kim Seon-hwa, Kim Jung-nan as Hong Beom-ja, and Kim Joo-ryoung as Grace Go.
Why Queen of Tears Season 2 might not be happening anytime soon?
Queen of Tears Season 2 probably isn’t coming out, because as mentioned above, most Korean dramas typically end after one season.
