Queen of Tears Actor Kim Soo-Hyun’s Next K-Drama (Knock Off) With Jo Bo-Ah?

Kim Soo-Hyun, after gaining fame from Queen of Tears‘ success, is again gearing up for his next project, Knock Off. And, popular South Korean actress, Jo Bo-Ah is considering the female lead’s part in the drama.

Directed by Park Hyun-Seok, the drama Knock Off is set from 1997 to the early 2000s. Its narrative revolves around the foreign exchange crisis while telling the story of the ‘counterfeit market’. Although not much is known, the drama might get a global platform for streaming.

Update on Jo Bo-Ah’s role in Kim Soo-Hyun’s K-Drama

On May 16, 2024, a representative of Bo-Ah’s agency XYG Studio told MK Sports that the actress received an offer and might appear in it. They said, “Jo Bo-Ah has received an offer to appear in the new drama ‘Knock Off’ and is discussing it.” Now, reports are rife that the same project will also feature Kim Soo-Hyun.

If Jo Bo-Ah accepts the offer, she will portray Kim Soo-Hyun’s first love and a customs employee in Knock Off. This is the first time Soo-Hyun and Bo-Ah will be paired together, and the audience is quite excited about it. Currently, the actress is filming for Netflix’s Swallowing Gold (literal title), based on a web novel of the same name by Jang Da-Hye. The series will also star Lee Jae-Wook.

Kim Soo-Hyun garnered a lot of appreciation and attention for his performance in Queen of Tears. He plays Baek Hyun-Woo, the husband of Hong Hae-In (Kim Ji-Won) in the drama. On the other hand, Jo Bo-Ah was last seen in Destined With You alongside Rowoon. However, one of the best performances is Tale of the Nine-Tailed.
