Queen Elizabeth has won a massive lifetime sum through horse racing
Queen Elizabeth II is serious when it comes to her horses.
The 91-year-old monarch has owned horses since the age of 4 and won her first race as an owner at the age of 23 in 1949, according to People.

Though she doesn't race the horses herself, the avid rider has amassed a massive fortune over the past several decades of racing. According to MyRacing.com, Queen Elizabeth earned $735,540 last year and has won $545,600 so far this year, bringing her total haul to $8,843,817 over the last 30 or so years. Yes, Her Majesty has won nearly $9 million through horse racing.
People notes that she finished as the 11th best owner in the flat-racing season that ended this past weekend.

It's believed that Queen Elizabeth II owns approximately 25 horses, most of which live on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk.
"It means an awful lot to her," Sean Trivass of MyRacing.com told People. "She loves every single second of it. She loves her horses more than her racing [though]."
