Queen Elizabeth Attends the Christening of Two of Her Great-Grandchildren

Today, two of the youngest members of the royal family were christened in the All Saints Chapel at Royal Lodge in Windsor. Both Lucas Tindall, the son of Princess Anne's daughter Zara and her husband Mike, and August Brooksbank, the son of Prince Andrew's daughter Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank, were baptized in a private religious ceremony.

In attendance were immediate family and close friends, including Queen Elizabeth, who in recent weeks has been forced to miss several public appearances due to health concerns.

In mid-October, Queen Elizabeth was hospitalized for "preliminary investigations," and advised to rest by medical staff. Buckingham Palace did not specify further details about her health at the time, as she is entitled to medical privacy, and while she was back at her desk in Windsor Castle the next day, she did have to cancel several in-person engagements.

A few weeks later, the 95-year-old was set to appear at the Cenotaph alongside her family on Remembrance Sunday, but was "deeply disappointed" to cancel due to a sprained back, an ailment "unrelated" to her previous hospital stay.

“The Queen, having sprained her back, has decided this morning with great regret that she will not be able to attend today’s Remembrance Sunday Service at the Cenotaph. Her Majesty is disappointed that she will miss the service,” a statement read at the time. But fortunately, given her attendance at today's event, the Queen appears to be feeling a bit better.
