Mother knows best? More like the wife of a king knows best.

On May 16, Queen Camilla attended a garden party at Lamb House in East Sussex, England. According to People, a partygoer asked the 76-year-old royal about the well-being of her husband, King Charles, who has been undergoing medical treatment for an undisclosed type of cancer.

Per the outlet, Her Majesty revealed that the 75-year-old monarch is “doing well.” But that didn’t stop her from calling out her husband for his behavior, saying, “Well, he would if he behaved himself.”

Though the queen didn’t elaborate on what she meant by that comment, Queen Camilla and other members of the royal family have spoken out about how much the monarch wants to return to work.

To mark his return to royal duties, King Charles and Queen Camilla visited the Macmillan Cancer Centre at the University College Hospital in London back in April.

According to the Daily Mail, Her Majesty shared that her hubby was “thrilled to be out.” While the monarch has been slowly making his return to the public eye, his public appearances have been largely scaled back due to his doctor’s advisement.

Queen Camilla’s quippy comment about her husband’s recovery comes just a few weeks after His Royal Highness made a surprising comment about their marriage. Following the Easter Sunday service at St. George’s Chapel, the king and queen went on a surprise stroll outside of Windsor Castle to greet royal fans.

When a royal admirer shared some words of encouragement to the king amid his cancer treatment, King Charles thanked the well-wisher and took a moment to admire his wife, saying with a smile, “I just obey my instructions.”
