The uncle and bandmate of Migos rapper Takeoff, who was killed in a Houston bowling alley shooting in November, has released a new song in his honor.

Quavo, who was at the same private party where his nephew was shot, released his first new single since Takeoff's death on Wednesday. Entitled "Without You," the song is an emotional tribute to both their close familial bond and the music they made together.

"I don't know if I'm the same without you (Yeah, I ain't the same)," Quavo croons at one point. "Birthdays ain't the same without you / Christmas ain't the same without you."

"It's hard to see Mama Love without you," he adds at the end of the verse.

The song also plays tribute to the duo's last album, "Only Built for Infinity Links," which they released under the name "Unc & Phew" in October, just weeks before Takeoff's death.

"I wish I had a time machine / Just so you can take a ride with me," Quavo says in another verse. "I miss just how you smile at me / Unc and Phew until infinity."

Quavo repeats that verse in the outro, adding, "But I know it ain't work that way / And I'll see you again someday."

"Take," he adds, "Take, I'm sorry."

Takeoff, whose given name was Kirsnick Khari Ball, was just 28 when he was killed in the early hours of Nov. 1 after a Halloween party at a bowling alley in Houston. He was an innocent bystander struck by gunfire when a fight broke out in the parking lot after the party ended. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

"The event was a private party, there was a lucrative dice game that went on at the event, there was an argument that happened afterwards outside the bowling alley which led to the shooting,” Houston Police Sgt. Michael Burrow said at an early December press conference, as Oxygen.com previously reported. "I can tell you that Takeoff was not involved in playing the dice game."

Video taken after the event suggests that Quavo had an argument in the parking lot with unknown individuals and turned to walk away when someone started shooting, Houston NBC affiliate KPRC reported.

Police arrested Cameron Joshua, 22, at the end of November and charged him with felony possession of a weapon. They arrested Patrick Xavier Clark, 33, on Dec. 1 and charged him with murder.

Clark, who has proclaimed his innocence, initially had his bail set at $2 million, according to NBC News, but successfully petitioned for it to be lowered. He posted the $1 million bond this week and was released on Wednesday, according to KPRC.

Clark has also successfully petitioned the court to pay for a private investigator on his behalf, according to NBC News, citing his indigent status. The investigator agreed to work for a reduced rate of $85 per hour, and the court capped the total expense at $5,000.
