Quavo is enjoying a trip to Japan, and one highlighted purchase could be a new addition to his creative arsenal. Sharing moments from his Asian excursion on social media throughout his trip, one upload showcases the Atlanta native intrigued by a local man and his flute.

Posted in a carousel-style upload, the fourth clip features the 32-year-old venturing through a street market, where a vendor plays the woodwind instrument. Quavo can be seen mouthing “I want one” before speaking out loud.

“Can you get me one?” asks the “HOTEL LOBBY” performer. “I want one,” he continues before moving to make the purchase.

Will Quavo become the next rapper to release a woodwind album? The purchase — while likely a fun souvenir and not a signifier of his musical trajectory — is on trend with Andre 3000’s latest album New Blue Sun, powered by his flutist skills.

“This is the realest thing that’s coming right now. Not to say that I would never do it again, but those are not the things that are coming right now. And I have to present what’s given to me at the time. So the title, ‘I Swear, I Really Wanted to Make a ‘Rap’ Album But This Is Literally the Way the Wind Blew Me This Time’ [is] because this album is about wind and breathing,” explained the OutKast member.
