British actor Russell Tovey, best known Stateside for starring opposite Jonathan Groff on HBO’s Looking, is joining the ABC thriller as a series regular, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Tovey will play Harry Doyle, described as a cross between Thomas Crown and a grown-up Arftul Dodger; per the report, he’s “just as likely to seduce your husband as he is to pick his pocket when it’s over.”

And here’s another fun fact: The role was specifically written for Tovey. Showrunner Josh Safran says he’s wanted to work with the actor ever since seeing him in 2006’s The History Boys.

Tovey will next be seen in Looking‘s wrap-up movie, airing July 23 on HBO.
