Twists! Turns! More plot points than you can keep track of! Which is why we’re here to remind you of these nine takeaways from the first season of Quantico:

1. It Wasn’t Alex…

Alex Parrish (Priyanka Chopra), among the brightest and most talented in her FBI training class, was set up to look like the mastermind behind a terrorist bombing of Grand Central Station in New York City. In a mix of flashbacks to her training days at Quantico and moments from her present day life, we learn that Alex didn’t do it.

2. … or Ryan…

Neither did Ryan Booth (Jake McLaughlin), the FBI agent initially assigned to monitor Alex undercover. Instead, he got under the covers (sorry, not sorry) with Alex, and began a tempestuous relationship that included each of them suspecting the other of being the big baddie at various times.

3. … or Caleb…

Neither did Caleb Haas (Graham Rogers), Alex’s Quantico classmate and the son of an FBI honcho father and FBI agent turned U.S. vice president mother, who initially flunked out of the training academy, until … nepotism. Caleb was a terror suspect, but it turned out his secret was that he was trying to save his best friend from a Scientology-like cult he used to belong to.

4. … or Shelby…

Neither did Shelby Wyatt (Johanna Braddy), another Quantico trainee and frenemy of Alex’s who fell in love with Caleb, had an affair with Clayton — Caleb’s now dead father — and found out her parents, presumed dead in a 9/11 plane crash, had faked their deaths to avoid prosecution for selling weapons to terrorists (except now they may actually be dead … cliffhanger).

5. … or the Twins…

Neither did Nimah or Raina Amin (Yasmine Al Massri), twin Arab-Americans who were recruited as one person — under Nimah’s name — to infiltrate terrorist groups undercover. Raina (who developed feelings for Simon and who was disliked by Nimah) and her sister both became agents at graduation day.

6. … or Simon…

Neither did Simon Asher (Tate Ellington), another Quantico trainee who was kicked out of the program publicly, but continued to work for the FBI undercover. He ultimately sacrificed himself to save Alex and his other friends by driving a bomb off a bridge and into a river.

7. … or Miranda…

Neither did Miranda Shaw (Aunjanue Ellis), the assistant director of Quantico who was fired for signing off on Nimah and Raina’s undercover work. She was eventually promoted to become the deputy director of the FBI — after being passed over for many promotions, leading her to be falsely positioned as the terrorist at one point — when she helped ferret out the real terrorist working within the FBI.

8. … Or … Wait, It Was Him

Neither did Liam O’Connor (Josh Hopkins) … no, wait, he did do it. Liam, Miranda’s ex-lover who also had a one-night stand with Alex, had been partnered with Alex’s FBI agent father years earlier. They headed an undercover operation in Omaha, and because of poor decisions on their parts, 200 people were killed. Alex’s father couldn’t handle the guilt and became an alcoholic (who was killed by young Alex when he threatened her mom). Liam continued to work as an agent — and had another disastrous mission that involved Ryan — and in the Season 1 finale, Liam downloaded his whole mustache-twirling plot to Ryan and Alex, who killed him just before Simon drove off with the bomb. Alex uncovered one more twist in the story at Simon’s funeral: Claire Haas (Marcia Cross), Caleb’s mom and the newly elected veep, was in cahoots with Liam the whole time.

9. On to the Next Conspiracy…

At the end of the season, Alex and Ryan reunited after he took a job at an FBI office in Texas. Alex, having left the FBI behind (because the agency no longer wanted her), was offered a job with the CIA, which she … cliffhanger.
