It’s all love and respect between Usher, Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz.

Following his steamy live performance with Keys at the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show, Usher has responded to the internet’s hoopla about him cozying up with the “Fallin” star. The married artists gave the crowd a show with their 2004 classic “My Boo,” as Usher embraced Keys from behind and even got a little handsy at some point.

However, the “Nice and Slow” crooner recalled laughing off the intimate moment alongside super-producer Swizz Beatz, who is married to Keys and shares children with her.

While appearing on The Breakfast Club this week, Charlamagne Tha God asked the Atlanta icon about his halftime performance and if he and The Deans found it humorous. “Absolutely, we laughed about it,” the 45-year-old responded. “It’s crazy how people think. It’s all about how you present things, man, but it’s all love.”

Describing the hot set as “having fun” and celebrating “the legacy” of “My Boo,” Usher also asserted that he meant “no disrespect” towards anyone.

Additionally, Charlamagne brought up another unhinged time from Usher’s past when he head-butted Nicki Minaj’s derrière and smacked it while singing their 2014 song, “She Came to Give It to You” at the VMAs.

“That was Jamaican culture! So you gotta go to Jamaica. That was just a moment that was fun,” he spoke of the country’s dance culture. “By the way, it was me playing my bass so I probably would’ve bumped my shoulder or my hand, but I had my bass in my hand and I was playing, so I kind of bopped off her body a little bit. If you go back and look at the video, you’ll understand because I did it there for the first time.”

He did admit that he may have been “reaching a bit” when he smacked her backside. “I shouldn’t have smacked her. I shouldn’t have did that,” he reflected.

Despite causing much conversation about his seductive ways when it comes to the ladies, Usher recently became a married man.

The reigning King of R&B recently tied the knot with his longtime partner, Jennifer Goicoechea, following the Super Bowl this year, held on Feb. 11.

The two celebrated with an intimate Las Vegas ceremony.

As you see, all parties involved seem to be unbothered with Usher’s unhinged — but on-brand — behavior, so maybe the public can finally put their think pieces to rest.
