It's pumpkin spice season 2023. Here's when the fall flavor returns to Dunkin' and Dutch Bros

Fall is coming and with it the most infamous seasonal coffee drink: the pumpkin spice latte.

The PSL was invented and popularized by Starbucks in the early 2000s, but since then other coffee chains have adopted their own versions of it, making pumpkin spice the official flavor of fall for coffee lovers all over the country.

And the pumpkin spice craze doesn't end at just coffee. Pumpkin spice has been added to just about everything, from doughnuts to Goldfish crackers.

If you've been eagerly awaiting the Starbucks original, wait no more: the PSL is back as of Aug. 24.

But if your pumpkin spice loyalties lie elsewhere, read on to learn more about when you can start to enjoy fall flavors at major coffee chains in Arizona like Dunkin' and Dutch Bros.

Dunkin' expanded its menu Wednesday, August 16, with several fall pumpkin flavored treats. In addition to its Pumpkin Spice Signature Latte, available iced and hot, and Nutty Pumpkin Coffee, available iced and hot, the food stop also has pumpkin cake donuts, pumpkin Munchkins donut holes and a pumpkin muffin – and Goldfish Dunkin' Pumpkin Spice Grahams.

The signature pumpkin spiced latte returned to Dunkin' on Aug. 16.

In addition to the PSL, the coffee and doughnut chain is offering other fall menu items including the Pumpkin Spice Swirl coffee and the Nutty Pumpkin Coffee.

Fall-themed food items available in 2023 include pumpkin doughnuts, pumpkin Munchkins, pumpkin muffins, maple sugar bacon and a maple sugar bacon sandwich.

Perhaps the most intriguing is a pumpkin-themed crossover between Dunkin' and Goldfish crackers. Described as a graham cracker with pumpkin, doughnut glaze and warm spices, the limited-edition Goldfish Dunkin' Pumpkin Spice Grahams are available online at shop.goldfishsmiles.com and in grocery stores starting in September.

Dutch Bros will begin offering fall drink flavors on Sept. 1. The fall menu will include past fan favorites like caramel pumpkin coffee as well as a sugar-free version of the classic pumpkin spice flavor.

Dutch Bros in Arizona also teased the debut of a new pumpkin white chocolate muffin pastry on Instagram.

When do fall flavors return to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf?

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is prepared to ring in fall on Wednesday, Aug. 23 with a lineup of fall flavors that includes pumpkin cream cold brew, iced pumpkin latte and a pumpkin doughnut.
