From pumpkin bowling to the World Beef Expo, here's what you should know about Harvest Fair 2023

Milwaukee's Harvest Fair will return to Wisconsin State Fair Park at the end of September.

The annual event kicks off the fall and harvest seasons by offering family-friendly rides and entertainment from fall-themed treats to the always-popular pumpkin bowling.

For those interested in attending the 2023 event, here's what you should know.

When is the 2023 Harvest Fair in Wisconsin?

This year's event takes place from Sept. 29-Oct. 1.

The hours for the events:

  • Friday, Sept. 29: 5 p.m.-11 p.m.

  • Saturday, Sept. 30: 10 a.m.-11 p.m.

  • Sunday, Oct. 1: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

How much are tickets the Harvest Fair in Wisconsin?

Admission is free for the Harvest Fair.

How to park at Harvest Fair

Parking is available on-site for the Harvest Fair. General public parking costs $10 for vehicles and $5 for motorcycles. Cash is not accepted for parking lots.

There is also street parking in nearby neighborhoods but be sure to check signage as it may be different for the event.

Where is Harvest Fair in Wisconsin?

Harvest fair takes place at Wisconsin State Fair Park, 640 S. 84th St., West Allis.

Will there be livestock on display at the Harvest Fair?

Only beef cattle will be on display at the Cattle Barns and the Livestock Barns in the park for the World Beef Expo.

What are some of the headliners for 2023 Harvest Fair?

The 2023 amphitheater headliners include Too Hype Crew (8:30 p.m. on Sept. 29), Here Come the Mummies (8:30 p.m. on Sept. 30) and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (2 p.m. on Oct. 1).

There are many more stages with musical entertainment throughout the weekend as well as eight chances to see a Paul Bunyon lumberjack show.

What is the Harvest Fair's bag policy and cooler policy?

All bags will be searched upon entry and no bags larger than 9" by 10" by 12" are permitted inside State Fair Park. This goes for backpacks, purses, handbags, camera bags, messenger bags, soft-sided coolers and any style of bag.

Hard-sided coolers are not permitted inside the park no matter the size.

Are there rides and other activities available?

Yes. In additional to carnival games and rides, there are activities like pumpkin bowling, make your own scarecrow stations, pony rides, the World Beef Expo and fall photo booths and boards. Some activities require tickets that can be purchased at the park.
