Puff Daddy is on a quest for total validation in his new song “I Want the Love,” which features Meek Mill and comes complete with a ridiculous, frigid video directed by Eif Rivera. As the recently redubbed Puffy expounds in the song’s intro, he’s not into funerals or people crying during hour-long specials about his life after he’s gone — “Love me while I’m here!” he screams from somewhere in the Swiss Alps.

Puff Daddy and Meek Mill spend the rest of the video kicking it with huskies and carousing around the frozen landscape on snowmobiles and dogsleds, belting all sorts of braggadocio (“Back when Michael Jackson was moonwalking, I was still cuttin’ them checks”) over Young Chop’s trapped-out production. And as if he needed to assert his dominance any more, the Bad Boy honcho even gets to lounge, Game of Thrones-style, upon a mighty Iron Throne-esque chair like he’s ruler of the Seven Kingdoms and Meek Mill’s the Hand of the King.

After years of releasing records as P. Diddy and Diddy, and appearing in a handful of films under his real name, Sean Combs reclaimed his original Puff Daddy nom de plume at the end of March, ostensibly ending this moniker madness (for the time being, at least). Puff Daddy’s new album will be his first since 2010’s Last Train to Paris, and is expected to see release sometime in 2014. “I Want the Love” follows up “Big Homie,” which featured guest verses from Rick Ross and French Montana, while the video boasted a slew of cameos from Ashanti and A$AP Rocky to Bow Wow and 2 Chainz.
