Pueblo County High School presents “Mean Girls: The Musical”

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — A musical take on the cult classic film “Mean Girls” will be on stage at Pueblo County High School starting on April 11, 2024. Pueblo County High School is a comprehensive college preparatory school in Pueblo, Colorado.

Based on the film “Mean Girls” the production blends music, humor, and social commentary against the familiar backdrop of high school politics.

“Mean Girls: The Musical” is presented by The Arts Academy at Pueblo High School, directed by Taylor Gilman, who teaches at Pueblo High School while currently pursuing her Masters in Theatre Production at Southern Oregon University. Gilman is especially proud of her team of girls running tech behind the scenes of the show.

The lead tech team includes Stage Manager and Lighting Designer Bella Jackson, Assistant Director Sage Russell, Sound Engineer Emma McDonald, and Props Master DD Torres. This talented team exemplifies the leadership of women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

“These young women are outstanding technicians and leaders for our Arts Academy,” Gilman said.

The show will run at the Pueblo County High School Auditorium, located at 1050 35th Lane, Pueblo, CO from April 11 to April 14, with evening performances at 7 p.m. on April 11, 12, and 13, and a matinee at 2 p.m. on April 14.

Tickets for “Mean Girls: The Musical” are priced at $15 for general admission and $12 for students. Please note that the production is rated PG-13.
