PSA 'When Calls the Heart' Fans: Erin Krakow Has News to Share About the Show's Future

Guess what, When Calls the Heart fans? It looks like we'll be heading back to Hope Valley soon!
As the hit Hallmark drama continues to air new episodes from season 11, the network dropped an epic bombshell about the show's future on television. According to an official press release from May 10, When Calls the Heart will be back as it got renewed for a monumental season 12. What's more, production on the new season will start very soon, as the show will begin filming its 12-episode installment this July.
"When Calls the Heart continues to exceed our expectations and the number of fans and viewers continue to grow every year," said Lisa Hamilton Daly, Executive Vice President of Programming, in a statement. "Bringing season 12 to life is a huge milestone and is a true testament to the cast and crew’s hard work and dedication throughout the last decade. We cannot wait for Hope Valley’s next chapter full of exciting characters and storytelling!"
If that wasn't enough, Erin Krakow (who stars as Elizabeth Thornton and serves as an executive producer on When Calls the Heart) shared her excitement about stepping back into the world of Hope Valley and all that's to come in season 12.
"I am overjoyed that When Calls the Heart is coming back for a 12th season!" she said in an official statement. "Our fantastic writers, cast, and crew couldn’t be more excited to begin filming this next season!... Having the Hearties’ support over the past decade has been a true testament to what this show is all about: community and love. We cannot wait for our fans to see what Hope Valley has in store!"
While we don't necessarily know how the citizens of Hope Valley will fare in season 12, we do know that season 11 is heating up as new episodes drop on Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET.
The next installment airs tonight, May 12, and is titled "Believe."
