Protests Erupt Following Deadly Police Shooting of Philadelphia Man

Protests erupted in Philadelphia after police officers shot 27-year-old Walter Wallace to death in the street. Wallace was holding a knife and was said to be suffering a mental health crisis. As tensions across the country continue to rise with each police shooting, the scenes in Philadelphia echoed Minneapolis and other major cities in June after the murder of George Floyd. Stores were looted and one police officer suffered a broken leg after she was hit by a pickup truck.
