Residents of opposition-held Aleppo held a protest on March 14 to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the conflict, which was a day later.
March 15 marked ten years since unrest spread to Syria’s two major cities, Damascus and Aleppo, and to smaller cities nationwide.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), more than 500,000 were killed since the conflict started in 2011. Over 12 million Syrians have been displaced by the conflict, according to the UNHCR.
