Protesters Briefly Disrupt Fox News’ Town Hall With Ron DeSantis

Protesters briefly interrupted a Fox News town hall with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who in campaigning in Iowa in the final days before that state’s caucuses.
As protesters chanted “no oil money” and were escorted out of the Des Moines venue, DeSantis said, “You live and you learn with these people, right?”

Once they were out of the room, DeSantis said, “Well, that was a mistake. You guys didn’t get that one right.” DeSantis had been talking about abortion when he was interrupted.
Fox News anchors Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum were moderating the town hall, after doing a similar event with former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley on Monday. Former Donald Trump will do a town hall on Wednesday, just as DeSantis and Haley participate in a CNN debate.
Such disruptions are not unusual. At a campaign event in Charleston, SC on Monday, President Joe Biden was interrupted by protesters calling for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war.
