Prostate Cancer Foundation’s annual Hamptons bash and pro/am raises millions for charity

WATER MILL, New York ― A performance by Grammy nominee Adam Lambert highlighted the Prostate Cancer Foundation's charity weekend in the Hamptons.

The weekend took place Aug. 25-27 and included the PCF Pro-Am Tennis Tournament and the Milken Institute Hamptons Dialogues.

The gala, which took place Aug. 26 at the Parrish Art Museum, celebrated the PCF's 30 years of fundraising and began with cocktails and a silent auction on the terrace, followed by dinner; a live auction that raised a staggering $5.6 million; and a performance by Lambert, an American Idol runner-up and Grammy nominee.

The weekend concluded with the finals of the annual PCF Pro-Am Tennis Tournament at the Raquet Lounge in Southampton.

This year’s participating tennis professionals included Tommy Haas, John Lloyd, Daniel Nestor, Cyril Saulnier, Ashley Fisher, Sander Gille, Scott Lipsky, Amer Delic, Jason Pinsky, Jared Palmer, Treat Huey, JC Argone, Don Johnson, Guillermo Canas, Max Schnur, Alex Bogomolov, Wayne Odesnik, Rick Leach, Robert Kendrick and Joran Vliegen.

More than 500 people attended including Jeff and Mei Sze Greene, Igor Tulchinsky, Nouriel Roubini, Simone Friedman, Avery Price, Jessica Price, Zenobia Godschalk, Mackenzie Price, Cindy Jensen, Samia Morgan, Emily Church, Dr. Charles Ryan, Gina Carithers, Dr. Scott Tagawa, and former New York Gov. David Paterson and his wife Mary.

Proceeds from the weekend will support the Prostate Cancer Foundation’s funding of cancer research, including PCF’s Young Investigator program, which, since its inception 30 years ago, has transformed how medical research is conducted.
