‘Project Runway’ runners-up Brittany and Laurence discuss the finale: ‘For me, we’re all winners’ [WATCH]

It was close but no cigar for “Project Runway” season 20 finalists Brittany Allen and Laurence Basse.  They made it to the top three and showed their final collections, but alas, they finished as runners-up while Bishme Cromartie walked away with the grand prize. Mentor Christian Siriano talked with them one last time during the “Runway” post-finale after show. Watch it above.

“Making a collection in eight days is honestly just rude,” says Siriano. Indeed. In past seasons the “Runway” finalists have been given weeks to complete their full collections. But this time around the All-Stars had to put together eight looks in just eight days. It’s a miracle that the collections got done at all, let alone at the level of quality that Allen, Basse and Cromartie were able to make them.

“Overall my heart is full,” says Basse about the overall experience of returning to the competition after finishing third in season 15 almost seven years ago. “I feel like everything happened the way it was supposed to happen. For me we’re all winners, and I’m glad Bishme won the prize. We’re going to go home and kill this thing.”

Allen adds, “All of us are going to have, and we already do have, pretty successful businesses, so we’re just going to continue on that path. And now we’ll have new customers, or people that are really interested in what we did on the show and want that, or customs or whatever. So honestly, getting this far alone is just such a winning experience.”
