Progressive talk-radio network Civic Media sets lineup with Jane Matenaer, Maggie Daun
Civic Media, the Wisconsin-based network of news/progressive-talk radio stations including WAUK-AM (540) in Waukesha, has finished retooling its midday programming lineup.
"Matenaer On Air," hosted by longtime Milwaukee radio personality Jane Matenaer, airs from 10 a.m. to noon. Matenaer has been with Civic Media since 2022, after leaving WTMJ-AM (620).
"The Todd Allbaugh Show," hosted by Allbaugh, a former Republican state Senate staffer, is on from noon to 2 p.m. Allbaugh left the GOP job during the 2016 election, saying Republican lawmakers were pushing photo I.D. laws for elections to gain an advantage for their party.
"The Maggie Daun Show," hosted by the former Milwaukee County corporation counsel, runs from 2 to 4 p.m. (Daun, who formally leaves her county post March 4, also is joining Civic Media as general counsel.) Daun previously had hosted a show on the network at 6 p.m. weeknights.
The new lineup went into effect Feb. 26, airing on all 12 Civic Media stations in Wisconsin.
It follows a shakeup at Milwaukee news-talk radio station WTMJ-AM (620), which earlier this month announced a retooled lineup that included two hosts of shows on Civic Media: Kristin Brey, a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel video opinion columnist who had hosted the "As Goes Wisconsin" news/humor show on the network; and Pam Jahnke, whose “Mid-West Farm Report” is still being carried on Civic Media’s early-morning lineup.
In addition to WAUK, which also airs at 101.1 on the FM dial, the Civic Media network includes: WMDX-FM (92.7), also on 1580 AM, Madison; WRJN-FM (99.9/98.1) and -AM (1400), Racine; WGBW-FM (97.9) and -AM (1580), Green Bay; WISS-FM (98.3) and -AM (1100), Oshkosh; WXCO-FM (98.9) and -AM (1230), Wausau; and WFHR-FM (97.5) and -AM (1320), Wisconsin Rapids; W228EP-FM (93.5); WRCE-FM (107.7) and -AM (1450), Richland Center; WLCX-AM (1450), La Crosse; WLAK-FM (107.5) and -AM (1260); and WBZH-AM (910), Hayward.
The network's programming is also available on the Civic Media app.
