Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has led his team to a hot start in the current NFL season, but the Pro Bowler is making moves off the field as well, as the newly-announced global ambassador for Perry Ellis. As part of the new deal, the NFL star will appear in a series of campaigns for Perry Ellis, and collaborate with the brand on future menswear releases.

The first collection to feature Tagovailoa is available now on PerryEllis.com, and finds Tua modeling some classic Perry Ellis pieces — think textured knit polos, printed shirts, trim suiting and a color-blocked “sweater tee.” Each of the pieces are designed with performance in mind, with stretchy, wrinkle-resistant materials and durable fabrics that hold up to repeated wear. Pricing for the collection starts at $34 for the T-shirt, up to $219 for a suit. Sizing ranges from small to XXL.

In addition to the current pieces, Perry Ellis says Tagovailoa will work with their design team on the launch of a new collection inspired by Tua’s Hawaiian-Samoan heritage. That collaboration is set to drop next summer.
Perry Ellis is also partnering with the NFL star’s charity, the Tua Foundation. While exact details have yet to be announced, the Foundation has currently been dedicating resources to assist families and communities affected by the Maui wildfires.

Tagovailoa is the second football star to make fashion news this week — Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce attracted headlines over the weekend after Taylor Swift was spotted at his game. The red and white New Balance sneakers Swift sported quickly sold out online, while memorabilia sites like Fanatics have reported a surge of new interest in Kelce jerseys and merch.
