Pro BMX rider Anthony Napolitan might want to consider playing the lottery Friday. Because after seeing this unbelievable video, you’re going to come away thinking he’s probably the luckiest man in the world right now.

Napolitan posted a video of himself nearly getting impaled by some metal bars during a stunt on his bike. Napolitan was trying to jump the large metal gate as part of his trick. He doesn’t get enough air, and appears destined for tragedy.

Then, this happens:

That is both incredible and almost too good to be true. What are the odds he would land perfectly between the bars, with both him and his bike coming out of the entire thing completely unscathed? One in a million seems low, right?

We hate to do it, but in an era of fake Internet videos, we have to ask if this is real? We kind of expect Jimmy Kimmel to reveal this was an elaborate hoax next week. Or for Napolitan to come out and say this was some promotional stunt or something. It’s just too perfect.

We’ll say this much, if it’s a hoax, it’s really well done. And the team who pulled it off would have had to do near perfect edits from two different angles. That would be a lot of work.

We could debate this all day, so we’ll just stop here. If real, this is one of the most unbelievable and improbable Internet videos we’ve ever seen.

We do know one thing for certain: If it’s fake, Napolitan won’t be lucky when the general public finds out. We’re hoping it doesn’t come to that, because we want to believe.
