Priyanka Chopra Shares Candid Deets About Botched Nose Job That Sent Her Into "Deep Depression"

In the spirit of Mental Health Awareness Month, Priyanka Chopra has revealed candid details about a previous botched procedure that affected her mental health.

On a radio show appearance with host Howard Stern, she revealed that "it was a dark phase." The Quantico actor said she had gone under the knife to get a polyp in her nose removed in her nasal cavity during the earlier days of her career. She experienced complications that left her with scarring dropping her into a depressed state. "This thing happens, and my face looks completely different, and I went into a deep depression," Chopra remarked.

Chopra went on to say that she was fired from three films as a consequence of the surgery. She stated that she was convinced that her career was over before it even started. The starlet added that it was her father, Ashok Chopra, that advised her to get the corrective surgery. "He held my hands and helped me to build back my confidence," Chopra stated.

The Love Again star has since moved on from this traumatic ordeal and is stronger than ever. She's a mother to a 1-year-old daughter, Malti Marie Chopra-Jonas with her hubby Nick Jonas — and has more support than one can ever imagine.
